What Planet?

What planet is this letter writer (Robert Moats) from? This man lectures Council on how to conduct themselves and points to Mayor Green as the shining example for them all to follow. This same letter writer bullied Council during the Mufford overpass debate - treating staff and councillors like dirt.

Mr. Moats does not know what he is talking about. He did not attend any committee meetings, has only attended Council when he needed to bully and bitch about something, or to threaten councillors. As far as our Editorial Board knows, Mr. Moats is not involved in any community activities (i.e. giving back). As a strong supported of Green during the campaign and a full-fledged Milner Green, he needs to look at his own conduct and the abhorent manner in which he conducts his "advocacy" for his very small minority.

Mr. Moats, you are also wrong about the majority. Mayor Green came in 4th place. Three councillors got more votes than the mayor. Get your facts in order before you put your dragon suit on.

Mayor Green was elected as mayor and not dictator. Staff does the work in a municipality Mr. Moats and mayor and council work on a higher level ONLY to provide a sober second look and to set high-level direction based on the EXPERTS (Township staff). No one wants your Mr. Green or anyone else taking over for staff. They are hired experts and you pay them so they are listened to. Not your Green grocer.

I just read the letter and your report is absolutley correct. I thought you had to have brains to become a vet, obviously not. I thought you needed compassion to neuter a bull, obviously not. This man is truly 'out to lunch', as you state what has he ever done or what meeting has he ever attende (I admit I haven't been to them all but many more than him). This guy is one acorn short of a true nut job.

Your account of Mr. Moats is accurate as I have seen this guy during the public hearings and his behaviour was that of a bully and he was abusive to staff and council for sure.

What you may have missed here is that we now have a paranoid mayor in Mr. Green. He has obviously called out his dogs from the junk yard in a blatant attempt to discredit your good council.

He has Bob Long and Mel Kositsky on a tight leash at best and very possibly in testicular harnesses.

Meanwhile Richter is now irrelevant and stymied on the sidelines because she doesn't have the guts to confront Green openly and she hasn't managed to motivate her colleagues to do her any favours. Who would?

Mayor Rick Green has bitten off far more than he can chew. He has accomplished nothing and all his grand plans have turned to horse manure. So what is a bully to do? Sit back and smile like a Cheshire cat and get those that gave you money fight your battles in the papers because we all know that Fran Buttholes will publish this crap!

Green cannot deal with the job, this council and a qualified Township staff. He doesn't know what he is doing and he is out of his league.Ever morning when he walks into that hall he must ask himself why he is there. Good question as 500+ competent Township staff are doing their job and this guy is trying to one-up them. He thinks he's their boss and has the right to bully them around. But its just penis envy!

I think this Moats guy has inhaled to much anesthetic over the years and it has seriously affected his cerebral function. They do have residences for these type of folks, I hope his family has a reservation in one, they may well need it soon, very soon.

Maybe it all started like this?

First-year students at Ontario Veterinary College were receiving their first anatomy class, with a real dead cow. They all gathered around the surgery table with the body covered with a white sheet. The professor started the class by telling them,

"In Veterinary Medicine it is necessary to have two important qualities as a doctor: The first is that you not be disgusted by anything involving the animal body."

For an example, the Professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in the butt of the dead cow, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth. "Go ahead and do the same thing," he told his students.

The students freaked out, hesitated for several minutes. But eventually took turns sticking a finger in the anal opening of the dead cow and sucking on it.

When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them and said, "The second most important quality is observation. I stuck in my middle finger and sucked on my index finger. Now learn to pay attention."

"Life's tough, it's even tougher if you're stupid."

my understanding is the council is like aboard of directors.the qualified staff do the work. we have engineers planners and many other highly qualified staff at the township that do very competent work.the council then should just look at the results and adress minor concerns of theirs or the citizens. then the staff can fine tune things and get the job done. i find it hard to believe that a citizen no matter how smart can go to a open house for a few minutes and then suddently know more than staff that has worked on a project for months or longer.cooperation please citizens are becoming embarased by the actions of our elected officials.

Doc Moats gave Tricky Ricky a bunch of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in the last election............this is just the good doctor trying like the dickens to protect his investment. The mayor is dying on the vine and will be a one term wonder.

Wasn't Moats one of the idiots attacking Rich Coleman until Coleman saved Brown's Pit?????????????

Hey Editor, this has to be one of your most popular posts ever. It is amazing how a supposed intelligent person can be the root of such ridicule and the butt of so much humor. Good for breaking this story, I love it and maybe he'll think twice about sending a letter to the editor ever again.

I see Bob (oops sorry Robert -a disguise) must have voted in your poll as the one who doesn't think his best buddy who he supported in the election doesn't have to be transperant and disclose how he intends to reduce the budget or what he wants to cut....ba humbug!
