An Open Letter to Kathleen Stephany

*** Update ***
Council Agenda and documents posted tomorrow
Check out the fire post below for an update

Recently, Langley NDP candidate Kathleen Stephany has made several YouTube videos talking about crime and rail service in the Valley. We have now reviewed the statements by Ms. Stephany on this and other subjects and we are puzzled.

1. Langley MLA's Rich Coleman and Mary Polak both supported more police and more prosecutors and we got them and are getting more. The BC Liberals delivered on that promise in short order. With that in mind, how many more police and how many prosecutors will BC need to satisfy her needs, and allow her to walk the streets of Langley once again? Please tell us how many and how much that will cost in hard dollars please.

2. It seems that the official NDP platform does not address rail in the Valley whatsoever. Are you telling us that you will go against official NDP policy and move to immediately build train service throughout the Fraser Valley and out to Vancouver as the group that you protested with advocates? Please tell us clearly if you will move against official NDP policy and also let us know when we can expect the trains to operate (assuming you are elected), and also how much in hard dollars that train service will cost the taxpayers of BC.

We look forward to receiving feedback from Ms. Stephany and also from the Valley's NDP spokesperson as to their position on candidates and official platforms.

Keith she isnt going against NDP policy, she would be working to create it, you yourself say "NDP platform does not address"

Change that to "Currently Address" and you have your own answer.

Rail to Valley will cost a lot less than Skytrain to no-where near here dont you think?

Read translinks new "plan" its all about getting people out of cars...as they build overpasses. It makes no sense...time for new thought.

So 3 open questions to the current MLAs:

1.Campbell government’s promised that 80 schools would be seismically upgraded by 2008, why only 39 schools have actually been upgraded with 28 more in progress, 34 more vaguely (only now) "approved" to maybe start construction one day????

2.In British Columbia, there are nearly 750 schools in 39 school districts that have been identified as requiring seismic upgrading. Even the Auditor Generals report seems to question the BCLP intentions on addressing this. I have ask Shirley Bond several times and to date have received only a vague answer avoiding the question: In what time line will the remaining schools that have been identified as requiring seismic upgrading be upgraded?

3. I can’t believe Coleman had an advertisement about how great the seismic upgrading has been when they are in reality behind and avoiding commitment to finishing it all. Guess safe Olympic buildings mean more than safe schools?

By the look in her eyes she is already looking over her shoulder as Mary moves past her in the pre-election polls and post election results!

There is something about Stephany I just do not trust. Oh yes it is the fact that she hangs out with Paterson and Richter and is NDP.

Has Kathleen Stephany decided if she is pro life or not yet?

Those eyes, they penetrate in all the wrong ways!!!!!! Just like the NDP.

Maybe Eric B. could find out for us? Maybe some of the media with glowing hearts towards her could enlighten us?
