The Editorial Board of the Langley Record was going to hit the union hall to see the butt kicking, but we really didn't want to see a scary face crying. Mary Polak got 12,772 votes at our last count to Kathleen Stephany's 8.060. So who kicked who's butt?And gee, for a super star, Jordan Braun didn't fair to well with 376 votes to Rich Coleman's 14,576 votes. Better not pay much attention to the BS of a certain local political blog run by a politician's hack eh?
Just goes to show you that if you run your campaign with class and take the high road, the people will respond and reward you. Congratulations in a BIG way to Rich Coleman and Mary Polak. Two people with tremendous class and always looking at how they can take the high road.
Better be careful taking any advice (especially any political advice) from Editor Big Sod. Boy, did he ever call this one wrong! But then again, he always does. His version of reality differs greatly from reality. Kim better watch who she knocks and who she viciously attacks. It definitely goes against the grain of the broader community.
We also note that Mayor Rick Green was very obviously absent from post-election festivities in Langley, while Mayor Peter Fassbender was out doing the right thing we hear. It's called relationship building and respect Mayor Green. But then again, you're better take your advice from Big Sod, Silly Sour Willy and Horny Goad.

I shamefully agree and have to laugh at all the rhetoric and pontificating by a select few here in Langley. Led by the Editor Who Is Not, they again missed the wishes of the people and failed to understand the electorate. Don't take political advice from that baboon!
Maybe this will SHUT-UP the Richter's (both of them), Eric Bysouth, Joy Richardson and all the other pontificators who are so simply out of touch with reality that they think they actually know what is going on and in fact haven't a clue. Maybe Richter will now start to act in a civil manner and respect Bateman and some of the other politicians at the table who actually have a clue as to the right way to move this community forward - partnerships work, not negative campaigns Cllr. Richter. I guess they are licking their wounds and deservedly so!
PS I notice they haven't even the guts enough to comment on the election, Carol James at least had class enough to congratulate those who were successful. Go figure!

Hey Anonymous, you forgot to add Wally the inn keeper and Sonya on your list. Where did they disappear to in all this? They thought they would play the pied pipers and they ended up in a lone parade, eh?
I'm also wondering about the quote from Kathleen Stephany that said something like she was unsure if she will run again, but she will continue to be involved in community issues. Other than trying to be a shit disturber at ToL Council and being the champagne socialist at the Rail for the Alley unevent, what has Kathleen Stephany EVER done for this community? Dear Kathleen, please drive away and disappear back into Loserville. Zoom Zoom!

Stephannie is pondering her future,
